“In 1927, our great grandfather sold the land to Lord Kilmorey who turned it into a 9 hole golf course. After World War II, Lord Kilmorey decided to move the golf course up to Mourne Park where it still is today. He sold the land at Cranfield to Mr Goff and Mr Hill and the first caravans started coming here in the early 50’s. In 1983, we got the opportunity to buy it back into the Chestnutt family. From then on, we have been developing the site into what it is today.”
