Following a spell training with one of the north’s most acclaimed photographers, Howard has photographed hundreds of events in Leeds and Yorkshire, mostly recording weddings as well as celebrations. Other work includes commercial commissions and corporate events. He has a BA Honours in Photography gained at Leeds Metropolitan University and is a qualified member of the British Institute of Professional Photographers (BIPP). He has won professional awards for his work from Nikon and Fuji. He is the recommended photographer at many of the top venues in Yorkshire including The Old Swan, The Crown and the Cedar Court Hotels in Harrogate to name just a few. Howard has worked at many of the region’s major venues including Weetwood Hall, Rudding Park and Ripley Castle and intimately knows the grounds and public rooms that will provide the backdrop for your pictures. He has photographed members of the Royal Family and many celebrities including TV stars and sportsmen and women. Howard says: “Technical and artistic capability aside, a photographer’s personality is equally important. The famous photographer Annie Leibovitz is one of my favourite photographers because she has a way of interacting with people which gets the best out of the people for the image. It is really important that your chosen photographer has the best in cameras, lenses and lighting to ensure the best imagery” Howard recommends: “When choosing a photographer, it’s essential not only to check the photographer’s portfolio but also to meet up and see how you get on.
